South Mitchell is known by our families as a place to spend the day fishing. The last time I went fishing there, my nieces took me out. I saw two Dolphins swimming that day, they were swimming in with the incoming tide. I have never seen Dolphins before; it was an amazing sight to see. I felt as though they brought me good luck, as I was the only one who caught fish that day. South Mitchell River system is about 40kms in length and is a good place to go fishing, but you never know what you are going to catch on your fishing line, as it is so close to the ocean.
