About

The AIATSIS Indigenous Art Market is the largest Indigenous art market in the Canberra region and it has also become a popular online event, showcasing a diverse range of paintings, textiles, sculptures and much more. Importantly, 100 per cent of sales from the art market goes back to Indigenous art centres, artists and their communities.

We are working with the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation on this year’s art market to ensure delivery of an integrated online experience to support the ethical purchase of authentic Australian Indigenous art.

The AIATSIS Indigenous Art Market online offers the opportunity to purchase directly from Art Centres and independent Artists. The online market works in a similar way as the in-person market where each participant manages their own virtual booth. This means transaction/s for artwork and shipping are between you and the Artist or Art Centre. To enquire about artworks, to manage orders and communications about your purchase, please contact the Artist or Art Centre directly.

Please note the offerings available in-person and online are different.
