There are three types of witchetty grubs. One is on the trunk of the tree and the others are in the roots – one is a small plant growing along the Lajamanu Road and is easily pulled out of the ground and the grubs come up with the roots when the ground is soft after the wet season. Witchetty grubs are spotted by looking for the entrance hole with associated dust and kuru (excrement) on the trunk and branches. The wood is then chopped above the hole to widen it and the grub pulled out with a fine piece of wire or hooked stick.

Artwork canvases will be rolled in cardboard mailing tubes and our staff will deliver the artworks to Darwin (1800km return) from where they will shipped to you. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping.
