The Cabbage tree palm is a large native Australian palm which can grow to 30 meters in height. They can be found in our homeland swamps along the coastline. If we are going to make dilly bags, we go out on to country and pick the fresh new leaves, these are stripped and rolled into string, then woven in to dilly bags.
