Helen Moran

Born on Country at Cobar in Central NSW, Helen is a proud Wiradjuri/Wongaibon Elder. A lyricist, poet, author, educator, recording and visual artist. Helen believes the different forms of art she has engaged in has allowed her to express her life’s journey, cultural connection and Aboriginal self expression.

Her artistic and musical collaboration with various artist and community leaders through out Australia has opened pathways for both children and adults alike to be able to artistically express their pride and cultural respect toward their history, present day and future identity.

Apart from her many acrylic works on canvas Helen has also displayed her distinguishing art on musical instruments, cultural artefacts, clothing and sundry items. Helen has also produced two children’s books, two community albums and two children’s albums.
