Small Wide Parrying Malgarr with Bunjil the Wedge Tailed Eagle Design.
Traditionally malgarr ( shields ) were used with liyangayil
(fighting clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies.
I have replicated the shape of these shields in my artwork.
Bundjil the wedge tailed eagle created the Earth and all the
living things in it. Once Bundjil finished creating the Earth,
he and his six special men were blown by Bellin Bellin
the Musk Crow’s winds to live in plenty in the sky as stars.
Hand crafted in Australia from Australian Red Cedar timber.
All artefacts come with an information card.
The card has information aboutthe artist, artefact and design.
All designs are based on traditional symbols from
South East Australia.
