This artwork is about male and female dugongs mating together. The island on the top represents my island home of Badu Island in the Torres Straits. I have shown two dugongs are mating which we refer to in our language as purru dhangal (dugong mating). Below the purru dhangal are two young bulls waiting for their turn. In my language we call it barra kuthaw garka.
