Maxine Anne Charlie

Maxine is a Yawuru-Bunuba artist from the Kimberley region of Western Australia. She is inspired by the connections and cultural significance between the land and sea country.
Maxine is an artist working at the Nagula Jarndu (Saltwater Woman) Women’s Art & Resource Centre.
Maxine‘s current body of work consists of crocodile skin motif, local flora and fauna. She uses hand/block/lino printing and screen printing on paper and fabric, layering colours and textures to produce beautiful and unique art.
