Martha was born at Yuendumu and moved to Warrabri (Ali Curung) permanently. Martha loves the bush and goes hunting and gathering food around Ali Curung and Wycliffe Well. Martha started painting in 2003 at the Ali Curung Old Women’s Centre and painted about Jurrkurrpa (dreamtime stories) and now paints landscapes. Martha’s paintings are about when she goes hunting and gathering bush tucker around Ali Curung. Her paintings tells about the different foods and bush tucker that are gathered each season. Martha Poulson has passion about her culture and how it relates to her life she constantly is looking at new ways to tell her story and her dreaming. She has proved to be  popular with visitors/collectors both here and overseas.
