Lirrtjila #2 Munuŋgurr

Lirrtjila is the daughter of Beŋgitj Ŋurruwuthun (a sister to famous ceremonial leader Ḏula) and Yanbarra Munuŋgurr ( a grandson of famous leader Woŋgu). Her elder sister Patrina and elder brother Barayuwa are both successful and well known artists.

She began work at the art centre in 2020 and her first print was submitted as an entry in the 2020 NATSIAA.

She has one child with Naŋgamalya Maymuru. As a child she lived at Waṉḏawuy until her mother moved the family to Yirrkala.
