Lilly was taught to bush dye by the women artists and staff at Angurugu Art Centre. She also knows how to weave baskets when she was a child from her grandmother Mary Wurrawilya.
‘She was making string bag, belt, arm band, head band, making everything fashion back then. She used possum fur, mangkurrkwa, parrot, everything.’
Lily’s favourite part of working at the art centre is – “Doing ghost net bags. Dyeing too.”
