Cherie Mooner is a Djiru Traditional Owner of the Mission Beach area. She lives at Mission Beach on her Traditional Land. Cherie is an emerging artist who has created a number of unique paintings depicting her traditional country and the animals that live within it. She first exhibited at the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair in 2020.
