This young woman is the maternal granddaughter of Burrtjalk #1 Marawili from Waṉḏawuy whose daughter Mäma is her mother. Burrtjalk’s sister is Noŋgirrŋa and she was married to a brother of Noŋgirrŋa’s husband, Djutjadjutja who was called Dhäkiyarr #2. She has grown up in an artist’s school based around that family where art production is a constant communal activity. She lives between Waṉḏawuy, Yirrkala and Gunyuŋarra.
