Waralungku Arts

191 Robinson Road, Borroloola, NT, 0854

Waralungku Arts (pronounced Wharr Ral Loonghu) is an Indigenous Art Centre located in the remote town of Borroloola, NT. It is not-for-profit, and fully owned and governed by Aboriginal peoples of the region. Waralungku Arts represents artists from four main language groups – Yanyuwa, Garrwa, Marra and Gudanji. Waralungku artists are producing vibrant contemporary work which reflects history and tradition, but also speaks of current issues and concerns for Aboriginal people of today. The leading Borroloola artists explore a range of themes in their work including the life and the history of the community, wider political views and environmental concerns and also (very often) simply the distinctive beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Policies

Shipping policy

All artwork prices INCLUDE SHIPPING AUSTRALIA -WIDE

Overseas customers, please contact us to confirm shipping rates.

All artworks are posted using Australia Post unless other delivery arrangements are made with the art centre.

We are able to send paintings and prints almost anywhere in the world, but as there are customs restrictions around wooden items and seeds, we restrict our carved items and bush jewellery to Australia addresses only.

We will pack your artwork with care and send it using the most effective method – flat packing for prints and pre-stretched canvases, postal tubes for un-stretched works on canvas.

Every effort is made to dispatch artworks as quickly as possible, but specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed. It can take a few weeks to receive works, particularly if you are not in the NT. Shipping is calculated allowing a small additional amount for packaging which is a significant expense for remote art centres, especially with the high cost of freight on large bulky packaging supplies.
